Just six months ago I had to book a flight under two weeks before the trip. Even then, a flight half way across the states was only $350 when booking on short notice. Now, even several months out flights half the distance are costing $400-$500.
No wonder US based airlines are going under quick. They are just lucky there are laws keeping out foreign competition.
