Comicpress 2.5 Now In Use
Sunday, July 6th, 2008So I just did a lot of work to basically make the site look exactly the same. Why, you ask. I’ve upgraded to ComicPress 2.5. The new version of ComicPress had several new features and one key fix that I couldn’t ignore.
First off, the new version of ComicPress comes with 5 different layouts right out of the box. I had customized my previous layouts, but had ended up messing up short pages and the search results page. This new version took care of that for me and I decided to go ahead and use the three column layout. Now, when leaving a comment, if you are already logged into your WordPress account it will use those credentials and also display your avatar. And my personal favorite, with the old version, when you click previous blog entries you would get the previous entry instead of a page of the 10 previous entries, this new version has fixed that woot!
I kept the same design for the most part. There are several things that I need to revisit, such as the ad in the left sidebar and various SEO issues, but I’m happy with it for now. Now, off to actually do a comic.
