Firefox Fires Back

You know how yesterday I said that the new Google Chrome browser had blown away all other browsers in JavaScript benchmakrk tests? Well, Firefox has announced that their new TraceMonket JavaScript engine has outperformed Chrome. Something to look forward to in Firefox 3.1

Except, you know, they ever test people keep ranting about was designed by the people who come out on top. Google has a test for Chrome which everyone points at and says “Look at how fast it is.” Firefox has one for FF3.1. The more impartial ones more or less say “Meh. They’re both good.”
I’m really tired of this “Chrome is so great - but oh wait, it isn’t.” Chrome is really fucking fast. Go play with it, its great. FF3.1 probably is too. When it comes out, play with that. Obviously Chrome is better at some stuff than FF3.1, and FF3.1 is better at some stuff than Chrome…
